“ I went with chicken parm, pasta and some slices. They were incredibly delicious. They gave me some complimentary bread that soaked in the sauce really hit the taste buds. The staff was super friendly and eager to please and make sure you feel welcomed. Parking was easy and the size of the restaurant inside makes for a comfortable sit or you can take out. Highly recommended. ”

“ In to Garden City around 8pm for a meeting the following day and looking for some Italian food. After a recommendation from a colleague I arrived at Toskana at about 8:15. Dining room was empty but one of the guys behind the counter was friendly and had me take a seat and served me. I ordered Chicken Parmesan and it comes with salad or pasta so I chose a Caesar salad. Also added a slice of Sicilian for an appetizer. The pizza was delivered in about 5 mins piping hot along with some bread. The slice was perfect... crust had a good amount of crispness, the cheese was gooey, and the flavor was spot on. I had a couple pieces of the warm bread (I think it was focaccia) and saved the rest for my meal. 7-10 mins later my entree and salad were served. I ate the Caesar first while the Chicken Parm was cooling and it was just ok with a good flavored dressing. The Chicken Parmesan was thin, tender, cooked perfectly, covered in sauce & cheese and absolutely delicious. I used some more of that bread to consume as much of the remaining sauce as possible. Service was great, soda refills plentiful, and cost was reasonable. There was a steady stream of carryout customers which is always a good sign that the food is a winner. When I'm back in the Garden City area I'll revisit to try some more menu items. Highly recommend! ”

“ They never miss! I'm a pretty faithful patron of Toskana and have never been disappointed no matter what I've ordered. This time around, I stopped in to order catering for my daughters first birthday. I had an idea of what I wanted for the kids but also wanted to make sure the adults had options too. (Parents, we're tired of sharing the leftover inch wide slices at bday parties!! ) Mike was super helpful with taking the order and sharing options that would best suit my party size. We went with some pies, chicken tenders, fries, and the dinner special. Everything was delivered right on time as promised. The adults that attended the party are STILL raving about the spread months later! They were so impressed we considered them and they said everything was delicious. If you're looking for a caterer for your event, GO WITH TOSKANA! ”

“ Decided to try something new tonight. Saw some great reviews on Dine Li so I figured I would take my beautiful wife out for a romantic lil meal. We arrived at 6 pm and we guessed that due to St. Paddy's day approaching that a lot of people decided to go that route so we had the place to ourselves. We were greeted by our waiter Mike. He was kind and gracious and we got to talking and he and his wife just bought a home basically around the corner from our house. Mike was super knowledgeable of the menu and guided us to our choices. First he brought us water and our wine then a basket of some of the best garlic knots and garlic Flatbread I've had. Light and airy and not drenched in garlic oil like many other places we have gone to. I ordered the standard chicken parm which is always a baseline to me for an Italian restaurant. I like my cutlets on the thin side and this did not disappoint. The sauce they use has an orange tint from the carrots they use and it was delicious. The cheese was melted beautifully atop. My wife ordered the Linguine la Toskana which is Linguine with sautéed shrimp, broccoli rabe, pine nuts in a clear broth with plenty of slivered garlic and a light topping of toasted breadcrumbs which my wife absolutely was delighted with. We were stuffed but good ole Mike decided we needed a tartuffo dessert on his dime which although we NEVER get dessert we couldn't resist his generosity and my oh my it was FANTABULOUS . This is one I would definitely recommend and return to in the near future ”

“ After discovering Toskana a few weeks ago, we could not stop thinking about the delicious tomato/carrot sauce & house bread (among the other dishes) :) We came back for my brother's birthday dinner, and left with full stomachs and full bags of leftovers! The waiter remembered us, and honestly is one of the reasons we enjoy coming here so much. He is extremely friendly, personable, and overall great! The house bread this time consisted not only of delicious breadsticks, but also garlic knots and a wide assortment (as well as the delicious sauce). I don't remember all the dishes we got, but here are some standouts: Repeat dishes: 1. Toskana Special Pie: It was just as delicious as we remembered - thin, crispy crust, loaded with toppings! 2. Rigatoni Fiorentina: Remains our favorite pasta dish. The sauce is delicious, creamy, and savory, and the noodles chewy. I don't know what it is, but this hits the spot. New dishes: 1. Chicken Cali: This was thin crispy chicken covered in sauce and rolled up with spinach, mushrooms, and cheese. It is so fresh that even though it's covered in a delicious vodka sauce, you can still taste the crispiness of the breading. The chicken is moist, and I thought the roll design was gorgeous and each bite was delicious. 2. Chicken Toskana: this is the same format as the Chicken Cali but instead of a vodka sauce, they use a special marsala sauce that I personally wasn't a huge fan of. It's a wine based sauce with (maybe) some balsamic? If you like wine sauces, this one is for you! 3. Linguine Clam Pasta: this was super fresh and really good. Enough said. At the end of our meal, the waiter came over with a complimentary tartufo for my brother, and got the whole restaurant to sing happy birthday to him. He definitely felt super special, so thank you! Prices are super super reasonable, and the food is out of this world. I think this is a hidden gem on Long Island. Will continue dreaming about the house sauce until we come back again! ”
